This papers engages the coffee crisis on four level: the historical development and dependency leading up to the crisis, the socio-economic and political problems associated with the fall of prices, and possible solutions.

This paper gives a detailed account of the delicate position Catholic Priests were in during the Sandinista Revolution and why some decided to take up arms against the government.
